The course aims to enhance students' understanding of production and competition in agricultural markets. As part of our course preparing for the study abroad experience in Australia, we were required to select an agriculture sector within the country and conduct a comparative study with the United States. I chose to delve into the Seafood Industry, examining its practices, challenges, and then contrasted these findings with the corresponding sector in the US. The culmination of this research was a class presentation where I shared insights into the similarities, differences, and potential lessons learned between the two nations' agricultural industries.
In preparation for my study abroad experience in Australia, I was tasked with writing a 2-3 page pre-trip reflection. I reflected on my expectations, goals, and fears, considering how the experience might challenge and broaden my perspectives. I explored my motivations for studying abroad, what I hoped to gain from the experience, and any concerns I had about cultural differences or academic challenges. This reflection served as a foundation for self-awareness and goal-setting as I embarked on my transformative journey.

Following the culmination of our study abroad experience in Australia, we were tasked with compiling a 10-page photo journal reflection. Integrating visual and written elements, I documented key moments, experiences, and insights gained during my time in Australia. Through this reflective journey, I aimed to encapsulate the cultural, academic, and personal growth achieved throughout the study abroad program, offering a comprehensive narrative enriched by imagery and introspection.
