Gate To Plate EventThe Iowa Beef Industry hosted its first-ever Annual Gate To Plate Event. The event brings together Food and lifestyle bloggers from all around the state of Iowa. These individuals are a trusted source of information for thousands of people and they help spread a positive message about Iowa farmers and the food they raise/grow. This event was a chance to showcase Iowa Beef to these influencers, so they can be avid advocates for the industry.
For the event, I designed and created the logo for the event, was event media, produced welcome packages, created an agenda for the event, and kept in contact with the attendants. |

Iowa State Fair - 2022The Iowa State Fair saw 1,118,763 people in attendance in 2022. Whether these individuals came to the fair for delicious fair food, to see livestock, to watch shows, or compete in any events the Iowa Beef Industry Council made it their mission to use the Iowa State Fair as a place to advocate and educate the public about the beef industry. This was accomplished in many ways by planning events, showcasing the industry in exhibits, working booths, radio interviews on WHO, preparing beef dishes in The Kitchen, and more. I got the chance to assist in planning and working on these various events and activities.

I promoted the beef industry during the Fair After Dark event. I had a celebrity guest, a baby calf, work the booth alongside me giving our booth a huge attendance.
At the Fair After Dark event, the Iowa Beef Industry Council's booth educated and informed the public all about Cattle Ear Tags. At the booth, fair attendees could simulate tagging a calves ear and take home their very own ear tag keychain.
At the fair, there is a show called, "The Kitchen", every day throughout the fair various chefs cook up and teach fair attendees how to make their favorite recipes. Iowa Beef was showcased one day and food blogger, Kelsey from Dance Around the Kitchen, prepared various beef recipes for fair attendees. As she cooked she was an advocate for the beef industry and informed viewers about her own operation and the nutritious value of beef.

I assisted in the development of the IBIC's window display in the Agricultural Building. We utilized NFL Quarterback, Tony Romo, to market our product of grilling season.
