Public Relations Writing

Developing and writing public relations materials with an emphasis on media relations and news. Techniques addressed include media kits, brochures, newsletters, digital media and speeches.

Press Paws

Throughout this course, our designated client was Press Paws, an initiative spearheaded by the ISU Greenlee School. Press Paws aims to brighten campus life by introducing furry companions for students to interact with. Our objective was to broaden Press Paws' reach, enticing other educational institutions, businesses, and organizations to adopt similar programs. To achieve this goal, we undertook a multifaceted approach, crafting an array of content ranging from insightful blogs to engaging social media posts, captivating landing pages, and impactful email campaigns. This diverse array of content served as a strategic tool to amplify Press Paws' message and foster connections with potential partners and participants.

I chose to incorporate these assignments into my portfolio to underscore the comprehensive process inherent in client-based projects. From the initial assignment of Press Paws as our client to the identification of strategies aligned with its objectives and goals, the journey highlights the depth of my involvement. Crafting numerous diverse and compelling content pieces not only showcased my ability to strategize but also highlighted my capacity to execute impactful solutions resonating with the target audience.
